Rejecting the notion that Hong Kong’s art history is trivial, AAA Artists-in-residence C&G searched AAA’s collection and other resources throughout the city for information about contemporary art in Hong Kong. They will present their findings in the form of a live Quiz Show open to the public.

Four teams of contestants will test their knowledge of the city’s cultural legacy. Hong Kong-based artists Kacey Wong, Leung Mee Ping, and Law Man Lok will each lead a team in the competition. A fourth team will be comprised of AAA’s youth group PageNEXT, art journalist G Yeung, emerging artist Crystal Wong, and veteran art researcher Phoebe Wong. The Quiz will be conducted in Cantonese, with real-time commentary in English by sound and performance artist Samson Young. The winner will take home a mysterious prize.

Other events held by AAA include
'Race, Hope, and Love: Working with Communities & Housing' AAA Brunch & Talk by Wong Hoy Cheong | 16 MAY
Mapping Asia | Exhibition | 12 May – 16 August

Asia Art Archive
Asia Art Archive (AAA) is an independent non-profit organisation initiated in 2000 in response to the urgent need to document and make accessible the multiple recent histories of art in the region. AAA instigates critical thinking and dialogue for a wide range of audiences via public, research, residential, and educational programmes, existing not in an enclosed space, but in a space that is open and productive.
