10 Chancery Lane Gallery is proud to present renowned sculptor Wang Keping – Birds, Harmony of the Forest. This debut solo exhibition of new works features bird sculptures, a personal passion of the artist’s that he has been working on for several years. In this new series Wang explains, “the form is simple, but the emotion is rich.” The flowing, carved wooden shapes alternate between abstraction and figuration, animal and human, primitive and contemporary. Born zin China in 1949, Wang emigrated to France in 1984. He is one of the founders of the celebrated Stars Group and was awarded the “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” in 2015.
