Alisan Fine Arts is pleased to present A Symphony of Colour: Walasse Ting, as one of our first exhibitions in our new gallery. The exhibition marks our tenth solo exhibition for the acclaimed diaspora artist and will showcase a selection of his well-known colourful paintings. Following the first large scale artist retrospective in France at the Musée Cernuschi, this curated selection will showcase many never before seen works. Ting left for Paris at the age of nineteen and then became associated with artists belonging to the avant-garde group CoBrA, including Karel Appel, Asger Jorn, and Pierre Alechensky before moving to New York in 1958 where he developed his iconic paintings of women and flowers.
