After the last CHOW KAI CHIN, this year the exhibition area has enlarged, spreading art pieces on streets and alleys in Kowloon City. Again, locations of artworks will be presented in form of treasure map to encourage participates engaging? in the community. This year, the exhibition focuses to bring more interaction, hope the artworks can have more communication with neighborhood and audience.

Consolidated experience of previous year, the exhibition aims to,
1. No government official permit was applied for the exhibition on streets, alleys and in stores. We believe citizens and residents of the district, own the right of deciding and using the streets;
2. Raise concerns on local and traditional stores to against developer hegemony in Hong Kong;
3. Diffuse arts to community by inviting residents to become an exhibitor, getting more people to know more about arts;
4. To raise awareness of Kowloon City district. Old district, likes Yau Ma Tai, Sham Shui Po and Wan Chai, are supported by conservation activists, or established a community based arts space; yet Kowloon City does not have any still.
5. Breaking the concept of traditional exhibition space. Gallery is passive, waiting for participants to visit, yet CHOW KAI CHIN encourages people to walk into the community, catalyzing spontaneous communication.
