Established in 2003, Wind Mill Grass Theatre was founded by Shaw Mei-kwan, Joey LEUNG and Edmond TONG. Using Hong Kong as a creative base, the Theatre aims at producing diversified stage performances in different forms, which can bring out the local characteristics and are closely related to the spirit of the locals. In addition, the Theatre aims at exploring new visions for the audience, and let them feel the energy inside theatres, which resembles the invincible vitality of the “Grass”.
Recent productions of the Theatre include: Proof, Avenue Q, Bent, Frankie & Johnny, Crave, I Love You Because (premiere and re-run), Sand and a Distant Star, Home Coming, I Love You; You’re Perfect; Now Change! (4th run), Peacock man & Durian Woman, The Pillowman, The Shadow Box, The Cat in Red Boots, Treats, The Cat in Red Boots, Pine Tree Under the Moon, Wind Mill Grass Theatre X W Theatre’s Little Hong Kong Season 1-4, etc..
