After nine years, Eason Chan is back at the Coliseum in December for a new year countdown! Tickets for 18 performances of “FWD Presents: Fear and Dreams Eason Chan in Concert” will be on sale from October 6 at URBTIX!
Eason's fans may have waited for this day for nine long years. Scheduled 18 concerts at the end of the year, Eason has, in contrast to what others usually did, called off priority booking that requires fans to get a credit card before a ticket; and decided to release close to half of the total capacity for public sales. Each person is limited to purchasing four tickets, so as to allow more people a chance to buy tickets.
Having cancelled 2019 concerts and further delayed by the pandemic, Eason has not given up the idea of making his appearance at the Coliseum. Even though Eason receives numerous invitations to perform internationally, Eason is determined to kickstart his tour in his hometown: Hong Kong. As a period at the reputed stadium is available for the event, with Eason’s persistence, Eason and fans can finally celebrate Christmas and New Year together.
The poster design for this time is different from the one three years ago. The lighter colour tone sets the scene for Eason looking in a different direction, with colourful fresh flowers in full bloom. Having a new key photo taken, the renowned designer Joel Chu hopes to bring a refreshed feel to the new design with the same theme of the concert.
“Fear and Dreams” is a theme that Eason decided three years ago. After these three years, Eason’s mind has not changed. But what does it exactly mean? Eason says, “it can’t be easily explained without you actually being in the concert. It differs from person to person and it’s best understood and interpreted after you’ve experienced.”
Eason has staged over 135 concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, Vancouver, Toronto, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, New York, San Jose, Macau, Guangzhou, Chengdu, London, Paris, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Auckland and other places in the last world tour. Will this concert set a record for touring? While the touring details will be revealed soon, the organizer says, “records aside, Eason hopes to sing and meet the audiences in many different places around the world.”
