Logo’s roots as a ramshackle disco cover band playing punk influenced dance do resurface from time to time, particularly with their post- first album “Illegal Brain” compositions. The first album garnered much acclaim, with its tales of Hong Kong’s demi monde, insistent melodies and the stripped down spacious sound of a drum bass guitar trio. Sometimes it is a question of “guess the influence?”, with each song leading to accusations of genre hopping – the band however concentrate on space and melody and let everything else follow.
