Jean-Pierre Armengaud 出生于1943年，五岁学音乐，1965年于巴黎音乐师范学院毕业，主修钢琴演奏。Armengaud自言很荣幸受先师Pierre Sancan，Jacques Février与Stanislas Neuhaus的教导发，才有今天的成就。 他在法国出席过无数电臺和电视节目，除了演奏钢琴外，有时更担任监製。他又经常在香榭丽舍剧院与法国广播爱乐乐团合作。他到世界各地巡迴演出，并得到国际音乐界的高度认可。 Armengaud对法国钢琴曲目的完美诠释，令他名声远扬；尤其是演绎萨蒂(Satie)与浦朗克( Poulenc)的钢琴曲全集录音，更获得多项大奖。 身为一位全方位发展的音乐人，他曾在许多高等院校和大学任教大师班，并撰有法国和俄罗斯音乐论着。 Born in 1943, Jean-Pierre Armengaud began studying music at the age of five, and graduated as a concert pianist from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris in 1965. Armengaud proudly credits his success to the influence and guidance provided by his former teachers, Pierre Sancan, Jacques Février and Stanislas Neuhaus. He has appeared on numerous radio and television shows in France, both as a pianist and sometimes as a producer, and frequently plays with French Radio Orchestras and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysees. Armengaud has achieved international recognition through extensive touring world-wide. His notoriety stems also from his highly respected interpretations of French repertoire, especially his recordings of the complete piano works of Erik Satie and Poulenc, which have been honoured with numerous awards.
