2012年1月1日晚上八时正，香港将首次透过人造卫星，以全高清技术转播德国世界顶级「德累斯顿除夕音乐会2011」到本港多家戏院上映，让香港乐迷即时欣赏顶级音乐会迎接新年。 这次音乐会是在德国史上最悠久歌剧院塞帕歌剧院演出，被誉为卡拉扬音乐精神继承者的克里斯蒂安•蒂勒曼 (Christian Thielemann) 带领德累斯顿国家管弦乐团 (Staatskapelle Dresden)、着名女高音 安格拉•德诺克 (Angela Denoke)、男高音皮奥特•贝扎拉 (Piotr Beczala) 和新进女高音安娜•玛丽亚•拉宾等，演绎精采乐曲及着名歌剧《风流寡妇》作曲家弗朗兹•雷哈尔的歌剧，以美妙歌声和轻快音符迎接新年第一天。 For the first time ever in HK, a world class classical music concert transmitted in HD via satellite from Semperoper Dresden, Germany, to HK at 8:00 pm on 1st January 2012, and transmitted to selected cinemas for screening.
