Faust International was founded in 1999 by Matthew Gregory, a qualified drama teacher from the UK. Feeling there was a shortage of youth theatre and drama opportunities for children and tends he thought it would be fin to set up his very own youth theatre. The name itself is inspired by a tale from many years ago when there was a nomadic man travelling through Europe teaching and performing magic. Originally Faust was made up of Faust Educational Services and Faust International Youth Theatre. The former delivering the teaching and the latter the magic! Over the years Faust International Limited was formed and slowly Faust Educational Services stopped as we focused on what we did best (and enjoyed the most!) bringing the magic of theatre to the young people of Hong Kong!
