Damon Tong 唐伟杰 Born in Hong Kong,1979, Damon Tong received his BA (Fine Art) from RMIT University in 2008. He continued in pursuing his Master of Visual Arts degree in Hong Kong Baptist University which he completed in 2013. His works primarily focus on connections between segmentations through repetitive arrangement. Statement My practices are known for my repetitious collages and installations. Through the use of readymade materials (plastic toys, stickers), I usually transform them into segmentation and text which formally explores the spatial connections between image and text. Behind these explorations on my practices I tend to take these issues in a laid back manner, sometimes in a humorous way.
