CLOCKENFLAP FESTIVAL GO-ERS WILL HAVE PRIORITY ENTRY
This November, W Hong Kong will be teaming up once again with Clockenflap for a spectacular weekend to party on the after-hours during the three day festival from November 28 to 30! This year, WOOBAR will be transformed into WOO STAGE, an official dance arena featuring an exclusive line-up curated by the festival and W Hong Kong, is offering free entry to everyone.
“It has been incredibly satisfying for W Hong Kong to work with Clockenflap for the past two years and to indulge in our mutual passion for music and for discovering rising artists from across the globe” shared Peter Hildebrand, General Manager of W Hong Kong. “In past years our collaboration saw W Hong Kong as the official hotel partner and WOOBAR as the afterparty venue, but this year we are taking things to another level with WOOBAR as a part of the official Clockenflap festival line-up known as WOO STAGE.”
To kick-start WOO STAGE, we have called in headliners that include Boysnoize’s electro superstar Sirisumo making his Hong Kong return with his heavy electronic beats; London-via-Italy’s House legend Riva Starr from Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records, Jesse Rose’s imprint Made To Play, Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird, and founder of the Snatch! label himself.
Saturday’s line-up will see Jono Ma of the Australian band Jagwar Ma playing an exclusive DJ set, plus German producer on Kompakt, Robag Wruhme (one half of the Wighnomy Brothers) known for his eclectic electronica, joined by London house and footwork/juke producer & DJ Addison Groove of cult UK label Swamp81 run by DMZ’s Loefah.
The finale on Sunday will see US label Mon Dieu’s honchos Preservation joined by the cult instrumentalists Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band’s Maft Sai and Chris Menist making their return to Hong Kong after a stunning performance at Art Basel.
“Music has always been centre stage at W Hong Kong, as it’s the music that brings an inimitable energetic vibe to the hotel experience,” shared W Music Curator Flora YTW, who is in charge of all music happenings in W Hong Kong. “For this reason, we are always on the hunt for the next-best-thing to keep the hotel at the cutting edge and maintain our position at the epicenter of musical entertainment in Hong Kong. WOO STAGE will engage a very diverse group of global trendsetters and we are extremely excited as the festival approaches!”
In 2013 many stars from Clockenflap showed up for the after-party at WOOBAR, including The 1975, Cui Jian, Efterklang and more! In 2014, WOOBAR will once again be home to the official afterparty. WOO STAGE is not to be missed!
