About the artisits Piano – Alex Ho Currently based in London, Alex Ho has performed in some of London’s most important venues and festivals, including the Purcell Room at Southbank Centre and EFG London Jazz Festival. As a member of the critically acclaimed British pop-rock band Magazine Gap, Alex tours countries including the UK, the United States, Japan, Ireland, China (Hong Kong), Singapore and the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. In 2014 Alex undertook the recording project “Soundscapism” in collaboration with Hong Kong premier bassist Tsang Tak Hong and New York drummer Ian Chang. The album is released in 2016 under Vantage Music label. Guitar - Tjoe Man Cheung Tjoe Man Cheung (pronounce as Tjoe) is a top musician from Hong Kong currently based in London. This Musicians Institute alumnus is a favoured sideman in the Pop scene, a talented Jazz & Blues guitarist, a proficient arranger and composer. Tjoe is recognised by his reliability, powerful soloing, the ability to improvise and sense of humour. He can often be found plying his trade at top live houses such as Ronnie Scotts and Rich Mix. His first EP FLOW was released in mid 2014 and followed with a tour in Asia, while the second EP FLOW LONDON is launched in Jan 2016 as a trace of his year-long music journey in London. Tjoe’s current guitar is Custom Artist ’’T’’ with a pair of seth lover pickups which is used at his two EPs. Bass - Wong Tak Chung Wong Tak-Chung is currently a local jazz bassist, studied with Tsang Tak-Hong who is one of the most famous and versatile bassists in Hong Kong. In 2007, after Wong was awarded the best bass player in a local youth music competition, he decided to turn his passion for music into a career and finally became a full-time musician. Wong Tak-Chung is very experienced in jazz music performing with different musicians and groups. He has been playing with famous musicians such as Ted Lo, Wilson Lam, Andrew Gander, Orlando Bonzi, Ng Cheuk Yin, Stephen Lam, Ray Wang, Joey Ou, Patrick Tang, Rebecca Pan, Anthony Wong, C All Star e.t.c. He is now performing at Cali Cali (TST), Peel Fresco, Fringe Club, Manchester United Bar. Wong was performing in the Taiwan Jazz Festival 2009, Beishan World Music Festival 2011 and Beishan International Jazz Festival 2011.In last year, Chung and three Hong Kong jazz musicians formed a jazz quartet "In One Stroke". In One Stroke released their first album under the same name in 2016 Spring, and has performed 2 concerts at EUROPAfest and completed their first Europe and Taiwan tour in 2017.
