這場音樂會，除演奏王立平的《紅樓夢》選段外，兩首焦點樂曲是董昭民及李垂宜「改編」的大提琴與樂隊《紅樓夢》組曲，是「根據王立平《紅樓夢》組曲原作改編、作曲」，這是說其中「改編」過程中，還加入了「作曲」的新材料；由姚珏擔任獨奏的小提琴與樂隊《紅樓夢》，則是許翔威「改編」的作品，改編之所據則是「陳鋼以王立平原曲創作改編」的小提琴與西洋管弦樂曲，也就是說，許翔威這首作品便是一首「改編」自陳鋼「改編」自王立平原曲的「再改編」樂曲了.... Famous composer, Wang Liping, composed a musical setting to chime the essence of the Chinese literature, The Dream of Red Chamber, in the 80’s. Apart from performing the Wang's music in the concert, two highlights are the World Premieres of Chinese Orchestral Version with Trey Lee (Cello) and Yao Jue (Violin).
