乾隆花園由乾隆皇帝下令建造，花園中家具和室內裝飾均採用貴重材料製造，造工精湛，顯示清代各項工藝的發展，到這時達到巔峰。這個展覽展出77組(共95件)來自北京紫禁城的文物精品，展示乾隆時期的書畫、工藝美術作品、通景畫和建築構件，向市民介紹乾隆皇帝精心為自己打造的退休消閒天地 - 乾隆花園，藉此提高參觀者對中國傳統文化的認識和欣賞。此外，乾隆花園修繕工程也是保護文化遺產的上佳例子。
