2011年本港的人均收入踏入歷史新高，但現時仍有近十萬貧民，蝸居在籠屋、板間房、棺材房、工廈房等不人道環境；展覽透過鏡頭訴說在繁華都會背後的陰暗面，同時展現貧民困境求生的韌力。
十幾個單身的家庭的擠在狹窄的空間，其中能產生的衝突與生活上的扭曲而求存，可想而知。貧窮本身不可怕，失去人的尊嚴才是重點。住屋除了是睡覺的地方，更多是一個人面對生活喜怒哀樂的瓶子，一片建築強壯身心的私人角落。
冬去春來，年復年，居民都表示'住住先'，希望這不是夢！
