麥潔文的代表作有最為人熟悉的香港電台同名廣播劇主題曲《簾捲西風》，還有在1989年由已故音樂人黃家駒作曲的《歲月無聲》。以及在1980年代中期「非情歌運動」的代表作品《螳螂與我》及《唐吉珂德》，以粵語流行曲的「習慣」來說，這類題材是較為少見。
