Three fine art graduates from RMIT, Aaron d’Aquino, Tiana Wong and NWY realized the pace of life and the psychological difference from being a full time artist and an art student.
For some artist, consistently create work is almost being a demand to take sick leave form the normal life we assumed. As for most artists, it is never easy to keep a proper schedule, nor a steady income, and sometime gain no profits to cover the cost. These situations made the lifestyle of artists difficult for others to understand.
While most people would consider themselves working to live, many artists are living just to work. Perhaps to some people, this might be a kind of sickness…
Through this exhibition-Sick Leave, three artists are showing their work, which created under frustrated and shrugging circumstances as an emerging artist.
The exhibition will be held from March 3rd to 10th , 2013 at L0 Gallery in Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre.
