政府在2011年3月展開《鐵路發展策略2000》之檢討及修訂的顧問研究，並於2012年4至7月進行第一階段公眾參與活動，提出三個大型跨區鐵路走廊的構思，即港深西部快速軌道、北環線和屯門至荃灣沿海鐵路（屯荃鐵路）。
我們現正進行第二階段公眾參與活動，集中討論地區性優化方案，以全面地諮詢公眾對不同鐵路項目的意見。
