《凝聚的沉默》是日本新浪潮遺珠，由一條燕尾蝶幼蟲串連起不同地點和不連貫的人事，充滿精美影像，以詩意敘事包藏控訴，譴責戰爭罪行。《莎蓮與茱莉浪遊記》根本是兩個女子的創作（電影）故事，浪漫而紀實，回到電影草創期的狀態，自覺地、遊戲般地發展電影形式。這兩部影片讓我們領會到劇情片加入前衛敘事風格的成就。
