About the artist Trinh Thanh Tung, born in Saigon in 1941, became a full time artist at age 17 and has continued painting ever since. His brushwork, done with a gentle blurring of the defining lines of forms and objects, gives his oil paintings a dreamlike feeling, particularly in his nude series. The models are transformed to images of his imagination, exuding a unique gentle feel, typical of the artist himself in real life as well.
