His music was inspired by his grandfather during childhood, who was also a musician/pianist. The influence from his grandfather had brought a great impact on Don's passion for music from a very young age. He started playing piano at the age of 7. Later, he went to Boston, England, to study Music Performance And Technology Diploma for 2 years. During his time in England, he started composing music and writing songs. Catapult - was the band he formed during the period, together they had won the championship for Lincoln Battle Of the Bands in England and recorded demo songs for music producers, and production/record companies in England. He then came back to Hong Kong, continuing his pursue on music. Meanwhile, he joined "Theater6" for both theatrical performances on acting and composing music for their theatrical productions. He was a music director on a few of their productions, and also composed main themes and soundtracks for various commercials and short movies. Afterwards, following his own will to gain more life experience, both for personal growth and his musicality, he had decided to go back to England to live a year as a backpack-traveler. The time in England was a breakthrough for Don himself, he had written a lot of songs and pieces of music, expressing the way how he sees the world, his own beliefs and the ups and downs he had gone through during the period. Since then, his musical style has been fully developed into a more individual, unique and influential way. Now, Don's dedication to this art form has never been stronger and clearer, continuing his pursue for his own passion for life and music.
