在每年農曆七月的盂蘭節 (中元節)，香港各區都會舉辦盂蘭勝會,至今已有百多年歷史,其中香港潮人盂蘭勝會更被列入《國家級非物質文化遺產名錄》中。
在新界深井,更有全港獨有的潮州木偶戲表演。
