除精彩的舞台表演外，今年西九大戲棚將於年廿九及年三十變身為電影院，特別安排放映六場免費電影， 包括粵劇、京劇、崑劇、越劇、潮劇等多種戲曲電影，都是在香港比較流行的劇種，其中有傳統劇目， 也有流行經典，古今好戲共冶一爐。
