Renowned Japanese singer Fukuyama Masaharu, will be holding his first Asia Tour “FUKUYAMA MASAHARU WE'RE BROS. TOUR 2014 in ASIA” and will stop by Hong Kong on June 14 (Saturday) and June 15 (Sunday) at Hall 5BC, Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. This will be the first time for this pop star to rock the stage in Hong Kong! In 2013, Fukuyama Masaharu was focused on movie and made appearance in Hong Kong for “Mid-summer Equation” movie promotion. Though it was a short stay, Fukuyama Masaharu was profoundly touched by local fans’ warm welcome and eagerness for seeing him perform live in Hong Kong. And therefore later on he has promptly scheduled the first ASIA TOUR in June 2014 for Taiwan and Hong Kong fans! Fukuyama Masaharu started his entertainment career as a singer-song writer in 1990. Since then, he has come to prominence in the field taking up various roles as actor, music producer, radio personality and photographer. Throughout the years, he has written numerous hit songs and they have all gained major commercial success. His million-selling singles include “IT'S ONLY LOVE”, “Sakurazaka” and “Niji / Himawari / Sore ga subete sa”. He has topped No.1 for 7th consecutive single (16 single releases in total) in Oricon weekly single chart which has scaled new heights in Oricon history. He has cemented his status as the best-selling male solo artist in Japan, having sold over 21 million copies so far. In recent years, Fukuyama has broadened his music life to play a more challenging role as a record producer in the album “Produced by Fukuyama Masaharu 'Galileo+' ” released in June, 2013. In 2012, Fukuyama held a 10-day concert “Fukuyama☆Fuyu no Daikanshasai Sono 12” which gathered 180,000 fans. He will start his first Japan Dome Tour covering domes in 5 major Japanese cities. Right after that, he will start his first Asia Tour staging in Taiwan and Hong Kong. As a well-known actor, Fukuyama Masaharu starred as Yukawa Manabu in TV drama “Galileo” which has been widely acclaimed as his most successful role in recent years. Both Season 1 & 2 of the TV drama recorded a remarkable audience rating in Japan. By this time, “Galileo” TV series has already been broadcasted in over 70 countries, while its movie series has been screening in a number of Asian cities gaining heavy international exposure. Later of the year, Fukuyama has appeared in the movie “Like Father, Like son” directed by Koreeda Hirokazu.
