黃衍仁作為一個社運歌手，予人印象總離不開《轉念始於足下寸土》，但其實他的第一首作品應該是這首《一小時生活圈套》。在2003年開始演奏的衍仁，伴隨著反高鐵運動刺激，方才走上創作之路。「一來是事情的觸動，二來是被附近參與運動的人或氣氛滲染，三來是之前幾年參與社運累積了一些想法，沒有方法或沒有渠道講出來。我不是一個寫文章的人，但始終有表達的慾望，當時是一個大爆發。」(文字來源: 《繼續運動: 八十後自我研究青年2012》)
