French cellist Edgar Moreau, the "Petit Prince" of Cello, will make his HK début and open Hong Kong Sinfonietta's new season with Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No 1 under the baton of Music Director Yip Wing-sie. Bachtrack 1994 Born in Paris 2003 Orchestral début with the Teatro Regio Orchestra, Turin 2011 Académie Maurice Ravel Prize 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition: Second Prize and Prize for the Best Performance of the Commissioned Work 2013 Victories de la Musique Classique: “Révélation Soliste Instrumental de l’Année”, Festival appearances: Verbier, Radio France Motpellier, La Roque d’Anthéron, La Folle Journée, Saint-Denis, Colmar and Easter Festival in Warsaw.
