刻石的拓印由來已久，迄今說法不一，難以定論。一般的說法，認為拓印術始於東漢熹平年間。現存最早的拓印品，是在敦煌石室中保存下來的公元六世紀的遺物「溫泉銘」。 通常人們所說的拓印，指的是在石碑上拓印碑文，實際上，拓印並非專指碑拓。人們在傳拓碑文的啟示下，又把需要拓印複製的文字刻在木板上，製成印版，然後再在印版上進行拓印。這種方法，與雕版印刷頗為近似。不同之處在於，碑刻文字是凹下的陰文，雕版印刷的版是凸起的陽文，複製下來的拓片，一是黑底白字，一是白底黑字。 這個工作坊展現的方法既簡單又便易。只要把一張宣纸敷在石碑(拓印品)上面，將它弄濕，再加上一張玉扣纸，用刷子輕輕敲打，使紙入字口，待紙張乾燥後用裝有絲棉絮做成的「塔包」蘸墨，既輕力又均勻地拍刷，使墨塗勻紙上，然後把紙揭下來，一張黑底白字的拓片就複製完成了。 導師: 方惠燕博士 前博物館文物復修組二級助理館長 名額: 20人
