黃紅英的頭銜有一大堆, 中國音樂家協會會員、歌舞團副團長、市音樂家協會副主席、市政協委員……不勝枚舉。但與她稍一接近，便會感覺到她更多是一個本色純朴的客家妹子。
黃紅英愛唱歌，她有一首寫真式的代表作就叫《客家妹子愛唱歌》。這分愛讓她很早就在改革開放的前沿陣地闖出名氣，繼而為電視連續劇《公關小姐》、《亂世香港》配唱主題歌；同樣這分愛讓她載譽無數：首屆省、港、台“十大金唱片”之“流行音樂生力獎”、“廣東省五個一工程”獎、廣東省“五·一勞動獎章” 、“惠州市十杰青年”……
