Raised in a classical music family, Vanir developed great interest in music and different instruments during his childhood. He first laid his hands on a guitar at the age of fifteen, borrowed from his woodwind teacher. Since then Vanir has been playing with different musicians and groups, winning several contests while he develops guitar and singing skills. Vanir began to write his own materials during architecture school, inspired by his childhood friend Jing Wong, he started performing in the streets and at different venues playing covers and his own music. Mostly written in the style of Brit Rock, Vanir’s music covers a wide range of topics – From his childhood fear towards cockroaches, to his fantasies of being in a science fiction. After graduation he joined the rock band Wonderland, in which he is the rhythm guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist. By day Vanir spends his time as an architect expressing himself through design, but the most direct expression comes through his music; smooth rock vocals with acoustic guitar and piano.
