Up and coming pianist Mei Yi Foo is performing at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall on 9 April 2014 (Wed), in a recital presented by Premiere Performances of Hong Kong (PPHK) and sponsored by J.P. Morgan. She will perform classics written by French composer Debussy and Russian composers Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Balakirev and Glinka. Mei Yi Foo was catapulted into the global spotlight after winning the 2013 BBC Music Magazine Best Newcomer Award for her album “Musical Toys.” Hailed “a pianist to watch” by BBC Radio 3, a “Rising Star” by International Piano, and the winner of the Maria Callas Grand Prix ’08 in Athens, Mei Yi Foo has captivated audiences around the world.
