Deer is a band that was founded in Hong Kong five months ago and is conformed by two Mexican musicians: Miguel Bastida and Adriana Martinez. Separately, both musicians had experience performing classical music and latin folk music, but because of their interest on alternative rock music, both decided to compose songs following this genre. The band has been influenced strongly by bands such as Radiohead, Grizzly Bear, PJ Harvey, Portishead, Unkle, so on. Despite the influence of American and British alternative bands, they are also opened to use many resources taken from pop music and latin music. Today Deer is working to promote their compositions among Hong Kong alternative band scene and trying to participate in events that involve the promotion of their music. The band's first expectation is to share its music materials and to transmit something unique and transcendent. Its been a short time since the band was founded but the experience of making music is a long trip.
