Since its launch in September 2013, KMB’s “Five Route Day Pass” has been bringing more convenient and enjoyable journeys with unlimited rides on the day of purchase to local passengers and tourists. With the service being well received by passengers, KMB announced that the promotional period will be extended to 6 September 2014. During the promotional period, Day Pass holders can travel without limit on the day of purchase on the five designated routes accessing tourism spots in Kowloon, the New Territories and Hong Kong Island at a special fare of $50 (half fare for children under the age of 12 and for senior citizens aged 65 and over). Passengers can have a Day Pass encoded in their Octopus card by notifying bus captains on any of the five designated routes when boarding, or by approaching KMB staff stationed at the Lok Ma Chau Ticketing Office and then tapping their Octopus card as directed. To receive details of the Five Route Day Pass scheme, passengers may visit KMB’s Customer Service Centres or Lok Ma Chau Ticketing Office, where leaflets are available.
