Description
Ravel’s sensual masterpiece, Daphnis et Chloé, is the epitome of French music. Featuring dazzling effects for an enormous orchestra and the massed forces of the HK Phil and Chorus, these concerts mark our first complete performances of this great ballet since 1997. To open the concert Emanuel Ax appears with a magisterial reading of Beethoven’s most serene and confident concerto.
