Andrea Zanchetta was born in Venice, Italy. Since he was 15 years old he has given thousands of concerts as a soloist or chamber musician in Europe, Australia, China and Japan. His playing can be heard on 12 CDs recorded for Rivoalto and Nuova Era.
A Hong Kong native, Tina Karen Lo graduated from the University of Southern California, USA, studying under world renowned artist Pepe Romero. Her playing can be heard on “Songs and Dance Fantasy” released by Sony Masterworks.
The duo has given frequent performances and also revived a few lesser known repertories. In Hong Kong they will play a programme comprised of various French composers from the 18th Century through to the early 20th Century, with a special focus on Napoléon Coste.
During the 19th Century, Coste was the most prominent guitar virtuoso and composer in France. He lived in Paris during the time of great political and cultural turbulence of the 1830’s. His music is programmatic in nature, but also reflects the beautiful French pastoral countryside.
