Alisan Fine Arts is honoured to present the first solo exhibition of prints by renowned French abstract artist Fabienne Verdier. Born in France in 1962, Verdier studied in Sichuan, China for over ten years during the 1980s, which has given her a unique perspective of East and West; all of which is reflected in her artwork. This is the first time there will be a solo exhibition of her prints. A selection of twenty prints will be on display at the gallery as well as at Art Basel Hong Kong at the Alisan Fine Arts’ booth. This series of original prints were made under the supervision of world-renowned French printers Michel and Thérèse Caza, who have worked with masters such as Chagall, Miro, Warhol and Zao Wou-ki. Their initial collaboration started in 1998 when Verdier was commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture to create the poster for the Festival d’Avignon. Verdier has exhibited in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions world-wide, including a recent show at the National Art Museum of China, in Beijing.
