A cappella singing has now grown to be a highly exciting art form. By crafting purely with human voice, composers explore the boundary of imagination in melodies and harmonies.
On Friday 28 March at 8pm, two exciting young a cappella groups: O-Kai from Taiwan and The 24 from the University of York, will share the stage of the Grand Hall, Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre, HKU. In this concert, they will present a daring array of songs ranging from traditional to contemporary, and will premiere a new work A Touch of Rain by Dr. Chan Hing-yan, featuring Hong Kong’s foremost sheng player Loo Sze-wang. Join us in this enchanting adventure and explore the latest trends and boundaries in a cappella music.
