‘If this is your dream, so how far are you willing to go for your dream?’ - Inspired by the Haute Couture fashion, Chester Wu, a HKUST student, announces the launch of his one-of-a-kind women's collection in his first dream fashion show. Wu’s collection consists of two colors with strong characters - Red and Black, with various fashionable fabrics to lead audience into his journey of pursuing dream. Red represents dreams that ignite passion and potential; Black represents the fear of failure and difficulty in the journey. With classical music in the background to intensify the flavors of elegance and romance, audience will indulge themselves in a full sensational experience while witnessing the moment of dream coming true of a young man. Chester Wu Currently studying in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, majoring in Computer Engineering and Business Management. He had thought fashion was only a way, if not an excuse, for women to spend their income insanely. The turning point occurs when he studied abroad in Barcelona for a short period of time. The depth of European Art and the splendid of European fashion attracted him, while he has been keeping this enthusiasm after returning to Hong Kong. Intrigued by the fashion shows of European and American brands, he has a dream of having his own fashion show one day, given that he has not had any fashion or design experience, nor held any relevant degrees. 4 months ago, he decided to demonstrate that any dream can be realized – “there’s a will, there’s a way” by designing a narrative fashion show with classical music element.
