To advocate for gender equality and reproductive rights, Amnesty International has created a global movement titled “My Body My Rights”. In Nepal, women suffer from serious health issues because they do not have their say over childbearing and related matters. In Morocco, girls can be forced to marry their rapists to preserve family honor. In many parts of the world, homosexuality is a taboo that can even lead to death.
Amnesty International cannot simply stand witness to these injustices inflicted upon the body. For this reason, we have invited four local independent bands to Sing for My Body My Rights to demand respect for the body. The event also celebrates the joy of taking control of your own body and asks you to stand up for those who can’t!

SilHungMo, Wondergarl, NI.NE.MO and Serrini
