Power of Narrative(PN) is a community-based art creation and education program, aiming at revealing the authentic lives of the underprivileged by art. It encourages cross-sector cultural understanding between service-providing NGOs, Universities, Artists and Community Members. PN organizes artists from HKBU Visual Art Academy to visit six underprivileged groups – the hearing impaired, visually impaired, new immigrants, residents in difficult living environment, widowed elderly, students with special education needs. Artists listen to people’s stories, redefine and emerge the bitter-sweet bits of life by means of art. We did an exhibition at HKBU Kai Tak Campus on October last year, and we plan to do travelling exhibitions from April to June at multiple sites, such as Science Park, JCCAC, Tin Hau, Kwai Chung and Tai Po.
