Ivan Rutherford is a gifted and versatile performer most known for his powerful performances as Jean Valjean, the lead character in the international mega hit Les Miserables. Rutherford has performed the role over 2,000 times on Broadway, national tours, and in regional theatres across the United States. And for his consistently riveting portrayal of Valjean, Rutherford was honored as best actor by the National Broadway Theatre Awards in New York City. In addition to singing at a wide variety of social and charity events throughout the world, Rutherford has also performed in numerous high profile musical productions such as West Side Story, South Pacific, Kismet, and Titanic.
