“What would you be willing to sacrifice for dance?”
To the graduates of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing arts, the answer to the above question is nothing like romantic movies but more like that of living and survival.
“Four degrees” is an independent youth dance group with a number of dancers named cheung tin wing, chiu wing tung and Mao Wei. In conjunction with other professional dancers named Li Long Hin, Kathy Mui, Wu wing yan, and Chan chun wai. Sharing the same goal between the members, they decided to step out of their comfort zone. They have spent nearly two months on intensive rehearsals and have worked hard to compile a dance performance, in the absence, of any government funding called 《Tringer 2.0》.
《Tringer 2.0》 is an expression of 《Tringer》 by “Four degrees” which was performed last year in the Hong Kong Fringe Festival, continuing to explore the interactions between the movement of an unrestrained powerful body and pop music. In addition to the musician Chung yuen san and the live vocalist Huen Tin Yeung, we are happy to have Wong ka shun, who participated in the composition
of the side tracks in the movie 《Vulglia》(低俗喜劇)as the dance music composer and the winner of ‘’2013 Soundpocket Artist Support Programme”, to design the sound effects for this performance.
With excellent sound, elite dancers, plus full cooperation with a group of experienced young designers and stage art managers from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, audiences will be surprised by the unprecedented new style in《Tringer 2.0》. Whether you have never seen any live dance performance or are looking to find a new spark outside of traditional dance performance, you are cordially invited to the《Tringer 2.0》on June 13-15 2014 at Sheung Wan Civic Centre Theatre to share in our creative result.
