自1997年起，世界跳繩錦標賽每兩年舉行一次。今年，世界跳繩錦標賽2014將在香港舉行，由中國香港跳繩總會及香港心臟專科學院主辦，有近二十多個國家的精英和超過一千個世界級跳繩選手參賽。公眾除了可一睹這世界級盛事，也可透過賽事了解跳繩這一項有益身心的運動。
