Description
《白孃孃》乃香港首部本土創作之華語音樂劇，由潘迪華女士於1972年耗資百萬港元製作，並在當時的九龍樂宮戲院上演了一共六十場，主要以音樂及歌舞演出膾炙人口的《白蛇傳》故事，全劇歌曲均由著名作曲家顧嘉煇先生所撰，曲詞皆美，藝術價值極高。 東區兒童合唱團為慶祝其成立30週年，誠意製作及演出《白孃孃》兒童教育版，讓《白孃孃》再生並承傳下一代。 首演完畢後，東區兒童合唱團隨即於2014年7月20日遠赴英國作音樂交流，期間將於曼徹斯特及Loughborough Grammar School演出《白孃孃》一劇，讓當地華人社區和英國學生、家長等欣賞香港首部本土創作之華語音樂劇。
