Roll up, roll up... for the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation’s family festival and fun fair. Sponsored by Prudential Hong Kong Limited (“Prudential”), the Sunday Funday...Hope Shines Through event takes place on Sunday 3 August, 2014 from 10am – 6pm. Thanks to Supporting Partner, The Link Management Limited, who has fully supported to organize a mini amusement park for the day at Stanley Plaza.
Fun for all the family, from carnival games to face-painting, giant dance flash mobs to art-jamming, Zumba to Community Yoga; Stanley Plaza will be crammed packed with a full day of entertainment for the young and young at heart. Family favourite, Peter Rabbit will be making two special appearances for big and little kids to have their photo taken with Beatrix Potter’s most loved children’s character. Make sure you check out The Story Stage booth where Beatrix Potter books will come to life by their professional story tellers and Peter himself!
If your child cannot stop singing Frozen’s “Let it Go”, then the highlight of the day is bound to be the special performance from superstar singer/songwriter, Joyce Lee, who will be singing some old and new children’s classics at 2.30pm at the Amphitheatre.
For tiny tot theatre goers, an interactive performance of Alice in Wonderland will take place at3.30pm at the amphitheater. Follow Alice down the rabbit hole as talented actors from Get Real Theatre, bring to life the Mad Hatters tea party.
Title Sponsor, Prudential will be fascinating little eco-warriors with a ‘Seeds of Hope’ planting activity at its fun zone while Sun Kids and Spotlight Studio will be entertaining little visitors with face-painting, art-jamming, carnival games and a gigantic dance flash mob.
Get fit while having fun is the name of the game with the Zumba mass class by Core+ and the yoga-thon, a community yoga class will be led by some of Hong Kong’s top instructors. Zumba for mommy and me kicks off at 11am while Community Yoga is scheduled for 5pm. Bring your own mat and come dressed to stretch.
The Sunday Funday... Hope Shines Through is free to enter, however, all proceeds raisedfrom the carnival booths and selected activities will go to the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation.
Make your own Hope at the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation booth where HK jewelry designer, House of Kamal’s Janne Poulsen will help you create your own Mini Hope silver charm bracelet for the charity. Both the Hope bracelet for adults (HK$750) and Mini Hope bracelet (HK$450) will be on sale with all proceeds going to the Foundation.
The Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation (HKAHF) aims to provide hope for disadvantagedfamilies that cannot afford proper medical care and assistance. By supporting Sunday Funday, you are giving hope to those that need it most.
