Don Baker是一位天生失明的少年，於其母親Mrs. Baker的過分保護下成長。Don決定隻身一人搬到Manhattan居住，而在那兒他認識了活潑的演員鄰居Jill Tanner。Mrs. Baker本能地為保護Don而排斥Jill，最後卻發展至一個又好笑又感人的結局……
