Cityscapes - proudly presented by Wan Fung Art Gallery, involving 6 famed local artists, their works reinterpret the impression of the modern Cities of the East, from Hong Kong to Shanghai. Wong Chautung depicts the prosperous Victoria Harbour in ink and color, abstract yet figurative, creating a never-seen cityscape of Hong Kong. Ko Nam's Sham Shui Po Market, Tsim Sha Tsui and the Harbour side under construction record different perspectives of our metropolis in oil. Chan Kau On, the best of the best, has created an unique style of painting with the use of pen sketching and watercolors. In addition, Shen Ping used solely black ink to express the sunset mood of the Harbour. The fascinating black & white scene was created in an experimental purpose when inspired by the traditional ink art. These works will be showcased in our showroom at Artone until mid-August, 2014.
