Our annual Moonwalkers fundraiser is once again calling for hot-footed Orbis donors to step out in style! For the first time ever, the night of Saturday Nov 1 will see us proudly join forces with :CHOCOOLATE to conquer darkness on a dazzling 20kms march into a bright new dawn for the needlessly blind!
Dress Code
To match with this year's theme, participants please wear mix and match blinding neon clothing to light up the route! To mirror this year's "Light up the dark, Light up their world" theme, please feel free to dazzle your fellow walkers by mixing and matching your loudest neon or day-glo clothing! Should your team's confidence, creativity and cool-looking costumes see off the competition, you're a shoo-in for the "Best Dressed Hero Team Award"! Our volunteers will be on hand to take eye-catching pre-walk souvenir snaps for all participating teams. The winning team will then serve as a spotlight on the night with Moonwalkers' fans flocking to have their photos taken with each heroic costumed member. Holding aloft the Moonwalkers Hero Trophy, the winning team will subsequently lead walkers off into the night as "navigators" as the event gets underway.
Blindfold Challenge
Participants will blindfold and complete a 10-minute walk in Hoi On Road Promenade.
The "Blindfold Challenge" has long been one of the best-loved highlight of each year's Moonwalkers! All you need to do to take part is agree to have your eyes blindfolded so you're effectively sightless and complete a 10-minute walk along Hoi On Road Promenade in order to fully experience what it's like to be blind. Equal parts terror and laughter, blindfold walking is anything but easy! Don't believe us? Try it for yourself – when you can't see your hand in front of your face, few hundred yards will soon seem like several thousand miles!
Moonwalkers App
To match this year's "Light up the dark, Light up their world" theme, we've specially developed an amazing Moonwalkers App. The App will display your energy levels at almost every step of this year's walk!
