手鼓 (框鼓，Frame Drum) 其實是一個統稱，涵蓋了世界各地很多不同種類的鼓，但不一定是演奏某個地方的傳統鼓樂。以今次音樂會為例，我們的鼓雖然多數是北非摩洛哥的Tar，卻不是用來打北非音樂，內裡還包含了其他國家的手法、指法與節奏。這是三十多年前由 Glen Velez 等先驅將世界各地的手鼓技巧融合所帶起的一種新音樂風格。
