Business of Design Week (BODW) – Asia’s leading annual event on design, innovation and brands – returns for its 13th year from 1st to 6th December 2014 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Award-winning design masters, innovators and influential business leaders from all around the globe will be present to share their visions on how creativity can translate into business opportunities and inspire the participants about the power of design in building a better tomorrow. Partnership with Sweden – One of the Most Innovative Countries Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), to mark the 10th anniversary of its partnership with Sweden, under the theme “Living Design: Live It, Work It, Wear It, Do It”, is once again teaming up with this European leader in creative design to bring a group of reputable Scandinavian designers and innovators to share their design philosophy and innovation culture at the event. Swedish Design: Stylish & Practical Solutions Provider Sweden’s long history of ambitious research and development programmes is not only about creating intelligent ideas, it is also about turning them into commercial success. Swedish iconic products, such as those from Volvo, IKEA, H&M, Electrolux, Ericsson and Scania, are embodying all that is best about Swedish design – with clean, simple lines and a strong emphasis on functionality and sustainability. These products have been designed to overcome many of the day-to-day challenges in a practical yet stylish manner, and are now sold at virtually every corner of the world. Innovators from Sweden & Beyond Present at This Year’s BODW BODW boasts an unrivalled occasion for designers, business leaders, educators, SMEs and the general public to exchange ideas. The week-long event will be replete with an array of discussion sessions, exhibitions and award presentations. Some of the world’s most sought-after design masters and influential business figures, many of whom from Sweden, will inspire the region’s audience on creative thinking and design management. Design experts will rub shoulders with young talents at BODW 2014’s various discussion sessions on living design, brand management, game development, product design, architecture, fashion, cutting-edge innovations, designing business, communication & marketing as well as sustainable design.
